A Mill, Adolphe Valette

A superb rare oil on board Valette of an industrial Mill in the background with a silhouette tree in the fore. Exhibited in 1976 at the Manchester Art Gallery, this artwork was owned by Norman Satinoff - as per the label on the reverse. Norman Satinoff owned a company called Alligator Rainwear, and he produced clothing for Mary Quant amongst other people. Her PVC fashion wear was made from his products, and they were great friends... as indeed he was with Mr Lowry!
